Brushless Motor – for up to 50% longer motor life
The Makita-built brushless motor eliminates carbon brushes, enabling the motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer life. The electronically-controlled brushless motor efficiently uses energy to match torque and RPM to the changing demands of the application.

Torque Control Screwdrivers

Torque Control Nutrunners
Makita nut runners deliver precise torque control for higher torque and hard to reach fastening applications in production and assembly. Makita 14.4V Lithium-Ion Cordless Nut Runners are a torque-specific solution that installs fasteners accurately and efficiently, with extended run time.
Makita nut runners are USB programmable, with “real world” accuracy that has earned certification within major automotive and aerospace assemblers by achieving repeatability within 4% of mean torque. It offers RPM and directional programming via USB port for multi-stage rundown control. When used in maintenance mode, the tool notifies operator when calibration is due. Programmable Impacts
Makita’s programmable shut-off impacts offer an economical alternative to oil-filled pulse tooling. These pistol impacts can be programmed to stop at a specified number of impacts that can prevent over-tightening and provide control over height torque fastenings. Pass/Fail indicator clearly confirms the fastening achievement on each application.

Rivet Tools
Install or pull aluminum, steel, and stainless-steel rivets with the 18V LXT® Brushless Cordless Rivet Tool. Capable of installing rivets up to 1/4” (6.4 mm), the BL™ Brushless Motor delivers up to 20kN of pulling force, and sets most rivets in one stroke with up to 30 mm of stroke. Compact at only 12-3/4” long, it weighs only 5.3 lbs with 5.0Ah LXT Battery. Other features include an ergonomically designed handle for increased comfort, built-in L.E.D. light, and a transparent mandrel catch container for convenient viewing of container level.

First-In-Service
Let Makita handle the heavy lifting when it comes to your production tool maintenance. Designed for fast paced, production environments where downtime matters, First in Service (FIS) is a fire-and-forget solution that keeps your maintenance personnel engaged elsewhere.
Here’s how it works:
- When you purchase your Makita tools through Rapid Assembly, you’ll be charged an enrollment fee for the First-in-Service program.
- The program provides you with a prepaid shipping bin to be used for tools in need of repairs.
- Place tools into the bin, seal it up, and they will make their way to the nearest Makita Factory Service Center.
The First-In-Service program ensures your tools will receive priority handling and fast turnaround times; from the point of receipt, repaired tools will be repaired within 72 hours.
